Hi! I am, Becca Viner, a web developer based in sunny Denver, Colorado.

I am captivated by the infiniteness of programming. It's incredible that there are millions of ways to solve one problem and exciting that new tools are emerging all the time. The rapidly evolving nature of coding inspires me to grow daily.

Quote Machine Image — Quote Machine

I could not find a suitable API to supply quotes for this project, so I created a REST API using Express.js for the server and MongoDB for the quote database.

I used the date object and setTimeout method to create an accurate countdown timer and localStorage set and get methods to save custom brew settings in the browser’s local storage.

I used the functional programming principles of immutability, higher-order functions, and pure functions to create this calculator which performs square root and basic arithmetic computations.

I used the model view controller architecture style and object-oriented programming style to make this fitness game. Image sprites and the CSS animation property were used to create a rolling dice effect.
